Summer Scouting Report

Active in pass protection and has the size to hold up against most linebackers. Has the strength and balance to bust through arm tackles. Acceleration is solid for a 220 pound back. Pads get down when he is heading towards a collision. Awareness when blocking is an exciting aspect of his game. Combination of burst and nimble movements have a Josh Jacobs vibe. Needs to finish stronger once he gets into the pile. Momentum doesn’t carry into leg drive. Changes of direction are immediate and without awkwardness. Good base when blocking. Not a burner by any means but can put linebackers on notice when rounding the corner. Reaction time checks the box. Coming off a season-ending knee injury that might change who he is as an athlete. Always falls forward in single tackler situations. Impact as a receiver was limited during his junior year. Attacks blitzers and shuts them down early. Frame is put together nicely. Finds work and involves himself in double teams when he has nothing else to do. Pinball style can bail him out of tough situations. Doesn’t have elite long speed but testing should be fine. 3rd Round Summer Grade.
